Gotta cool down that Olympic fever, and the best way is to feed it with this surprise hit of the early 1990s. (Cool Runnings made over $150M on a budget that was under 10 percent of that with this loose Disney adaption of real events.) In 1988, the Caribbean nation of Jamaica, not exactly a hotbed for cold weather, had a team of four bobsledders who dreamed of competing in the Winter Olympics. They pursued this goal despite, among other things, having never seen snow. With the help of a disgraced former champion desperate to redeem himself, the Jamaicans set out to become worthy of Olympic selection to receive the title of Olympians.
