Southold Dance Theater is proud to present its debut production of Don Quixote. Originally choreographed by Marius Petipa to the music of Ludwig Minkus, Don Quixote was first presented by the Ballet of the Imperial Bolshoi Theater of Moscow, Russia in December 1869. Southold Dance Theater is presenting the newer version of the story, a three act ballet, set and partially re-choreographed by Calin Radulescu, Interim Artistic Director.

An exhilarating love story between a barber and a merchant's daughter takes the front stage of this ballet. Don Quixote becomes a part of the story while travelling to find his own true love. Street dancers, toreadors, gypsies, dryads, and traditional Spanish dances will delight the audience in this fast-paced ballet filled with passion and created to be enjoyed by all ages.

Family friendly, all ages are welcome.
