King Kong (1933)

RKO Classics

In need of a starlet for his wildlife film, filmmaker Carl Denham (Robert Armstrong) discovers Ann Darrow (Fay Wray) and offers her the adventure of a lifetime. He hires her to be in his picture, and the film crew heads to the edge of the world, where Mr. Denham makes good on his offer. Arriving at Skull Island, the crew encounters the giant ape Kong, who is smitten by Ann and subsequently captured. Relocated to New York City, Kong’s shackles don’t last long, leading to some of the most iconic scenes in film history.

Free for ND, SMC and HC students.
