My Life as a Zucchini (2016)

ANDkids World Film Festival

After his mother's disappearance, a boy (nicknamed Zucchini) is befriended by a police officer who accompanies him to his new foster home filled with other orphans his age. At first he struggles to find his place in this strange and, at times, hostile environment. Yet with his new-found friends, Zucchini eventually learns to trust and goes on the hunt for true love. This stop-motion animated coming-of-age story was nominated for the Best Animated Film Oscar last year.

Co-presented by the Lauran E. and Justin E. Tuck Endowment for Children's Programming and WNIT Public Television.
