Bach's Lunch <h4>Department of Music</h4>
 A series of short, informal concerts featuring Department of Music student performers. Bring a friend and a quiet lunch and enjoy a variety of classical selections.

Family friendly, all ages are welcome. This is a free but ticketed event.

Notre Dame Chorale <h4>Department of Music</h4>


The University of Notre Dame Chorale, accompanied by pianist Päivi Ekroth and the Festival Baroque Orchestra, presents Lux Aeterna II, a program of works by Antonio Lotti, J. S. Bach, Haydn, Liszt, Elgar, Stravinsky, and Stefan Girardet.

ND Glee Club Fall Concert <h4>Department of Music</h4>


The Notre Dame Glee Club presents its annual fall concert. The concert will include works from Spain's Golden Age by Victoria and Morales, along with pieces by Schubert, Mendelssohn, Barber, and Conte. Also on the program are folk songs, spirituals, and Broadway classics arranged in the barbershop style.

Free for Notre Dame students.

Kiera Duffy, soprano <h4>Presenting Series</h4>


Recognized for both her gleaming high soprano and insightful musicianship, Kiera Duffy commands attention in repertoire that encompasses Handel, Bach, and Mozart to the modern sounds of Berg, Glass, and Zorn. Duffy earned the highest critical praise for the world premiere of Missy Mazzoli and Royce Vavrek’s Breaking the Waves as Bess McNeill at Opera Philadelphia.

Stephen Hough, Solo Piano Recital <h4>Nanovic Institute for European Studies and the Department of Music</h4>


Internationally renowned pianist Stephen Hough performs solo piano works of Debussy, Schumann, and Beethoven. Hough's mastery of the instrument has earned him a multitude of prestigious awards and a long-standing international following.

Notre Dame Symphony Orchestra Fall Concert <h4>Department of Music</h4>


The Notre Dame Symphony Orchestra presents its annual fall concert in the beautiful Leighton Concert Hall. The program will include Finlandia by Sibelius, Gershwin's Lullaby and An American in Paris, and Brahms Symphony No. 3.

Handel's Messiah<h4>Department of Music</h4>


The Notre Dame Chorale and Festival Baroque Orchestra present Handel's masterpiece on period instruments, with solo singers drawn from the pre-professional ranks of the Sacred Music Program. The orchestra, led by Baroque violinist Daniel Stein, includes specialists from around the country. The Chorale has been presenting Messiah at Notre Dame every year since 1992.

Family friendly with children age 7+ admitted. Free for Notre Dame students.

The Notre Dame Glee Club presents its annual Christmas concerts, with traditional music for the season and a variety of contemporary holiday selections. The concerts will benefit the South Bend Center for the Homeless and the Food Bank of Northern Indiana.

Semiramide <h4>The Met Opera: Live in HD</h4>
 

This masterpiece of dazzling vocal fireworks makes a rare Met appearance—its first in nearly 25 years—with Maurizio Benini on the podium. The all-star bel canto cast features Angela Meade in the title role of the murderous Queen of Babylon, who squares off in breathtaking duets with Arsace, a trouser role sung by Elizabeth DeShong. Javier Camarena, Ildar Abdrazakov, and Ryan Speedo Green complete the stellar cast.
